I never imagined that this would happen, as I believed that I had an essential female identity that required me to transition both socially and physically. • I lived as a transman for the past 7 years, without much relief of dysphoria or gender identity disorder. I have completed top surgery and a full hysterectomy during this process and continue with my HRT.
• I am not making steps toward any kind of detransition in a physical sense. I do not feel this word reflects the reality of my choices, and after spending so long in communities being unable to name my experiences, I want the language I use to reflect me. I am reidentifying with my womanhood and I am a gnc woman. The processes I went through to change my body are not reversible and I will come to a place of peace with it.
