finding reliable medical practitioners

Hi all! I can very much relate to the all things parents say and post here. I have a 19 years old daughter who declared she is a trans out of the blue after her two friends become transitioning. She has depression and anxiety and is willing to try therapy first (fingers crossed) before doing drastic irreversible measures to her body. I am looking for someone who doesn't use 'gender affirmative' approach, preferably from phsycodynamic school. I currently live in Oregon (Portland metro area). Thank you! This web-site is a huge support for me knowing I am not alone.

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter but it is great news she's willing to try therapy. I invite you to post your request in the members-only area, as this public area of the forum doesn't get much traffic from our members.
