So happy I found this! I have 2 daughters , My 14 year old has always been tomboyish early this year came out saying shes a boy and that shes felt like this for a long time said what she sees in the mirror doesn't match how she feels. She also said she has friends in school that are like her , I feel friends and social media have alot to do with this to be honest. I let her cut her hair we call her a short Male nick name so far. I dont want to take her to see a therapist because I feel that they will just reassure her of what she is saying like that she is trans instead of helping or figuring out why she says she feels this way . I just want someone to neutral to help her connect or figure out why.
